Prayer in the Desert

Tonight I just really needed peace in my life.
I have been running on empty today and really just need to stop.
I heard this song on the way to church on Sunday and I really liked the message.
So I decided to just sit in it and really reflect on the words.
I love the way the Lord can just speak to you and calm you in the simplest ways.

"Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes"
Psalm 37:7

Desert Song
This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides

This is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold

So REFINE ME Lord through the flame

I will bring praise
I will bring praise

No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice
I will declare

God is my victory and He is here

This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

 All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to singI have a reason to worship

This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again

The seed I've received I will sow
[hillsong]

Even in the desert, when my life is dry.
I will still bring praise to my Lord.
For even in my trials he is still here and loving and fighting for me.
Blessed be your name when I am found in the desert place.
Blessed be your name when the sun's shining down on me.

With Love From My Father,
